Charterland, the property consulting firm, chose the prestigious Fidelity Financial Centre on West Bay Road as the location for their expanding business. Due to the nature of the business and the need to visit properties across the island, a convenient and accessible location was paramount. Serving clients not only in the Cayman Islands but throughout the Caribbean, the firm of property consultants offers a full range of construction and property services, including valuations and appraisals, feasibility studies, strata and commercial property management, commercial agency, sales and leasing and insurance loss adjusting.

The team also provide pre- and postcontract cost consulting, project management and quantity surveying services under the leadership of the firm’s newest recruit, Kevin Drysdale. Drysdale joined Charterland last month, and brings with him almost 30 years’ experience in the property business. Prior to joining the Cayman Islands practice he held senior positions in market-leading construction consultancies in the UK and the Caribbean advising clients including Sainsbury’s, Appleby, Walkers, Sir Richard Branson’s Ultraway Holdings, ScotiaBank, The Government of the British Virgin Islands and The Royal British Virgin Islands Police Force on the construction of a wide range of commercial, residential and public buildings.

Simon Watson, Charterland Partner, commented on his appointment: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Kevin’s experience to the business. His range of skills and experience are a superb complement to our existing management team and we look forward to working with him.”

Charterland was established in the Cayman Islands in 2009 by Chartered Surveyors Simon Watson and Stewart Connelly and has clients across the Caribbean, from those seeking financing for single-family homes to major developers taking on largescale commercial ventures.
