Prior to founding Charterland, Stewart was the Manager of the Commercial Property Department of the Property Consulting Division of Deloitte & Touche, in the Caribbean. Stewart is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor MRICS and also carries the professional designation of MBIFM as a member of The British Institute of Facilities Management and is also a member of the International Facility Management Association. Stewart has fourteen years experience in facilities, property/real estate management and valuations spread across Australasia, Europe and the Caribbean. Five of those years based in London and since 2005 in the Cayman Islands specializing in facilities/property management, commercial agency, valuations and health and safety in the built environment. Stewart holds a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management, through the prestigious College of Estate Management, Reading University in the UK.
