Cayman Islands newest property consulting firm will make its debut this month, and has announced a business model that combines experience, technology and a fresh approach to building client relationships.

Cayman-based Charterland Ltd, a team of property consulting professionals, is now offering it’s experience to a broad range of clients around the Caribbean, from those seeking financing for single-family homes to major developers taking on large-scale commercial ventures.

Charterland Director, Simon Watson, formerly the  Director of Deloitte Property Consulting (Caribbean) is a founding board member of the regional chapter of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Mr. Watson recently commented, “We’re new and dynamic but we’re also highly experienced.” He went on to say “Charterland is well-poised to tackle major projects and challenges thanks to our team’s incredibly broad range of professional property consulting experience. Our rates are competitive and our technology allows us real-time client reporting.”

Charterland stated in a media release that its veteran experience is embodied by a team of chartered surveyors with over 50 years collective in Cayman, the rest of the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Australasia and South Africa.

Ian Barnard, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, with extensive experience handling residential, healthcare, educational, commercial and civil projects in South Africa, the United Kingdom and throughout the Caribbean, also formally of Deloitte, brings 20 years professional experience to his new role as Director of Charterland.

Facilities Manager, Stewart Connelly, also previously employed with Deloitte Property Consulting Services, brings over 13 years experience in facilities and property management and commercial agency. The business partnership, provides a wealth of residential and commercial experience in property development, property management, construction cost management, sales and lease consulting services.

In spite of the current declining economic climate, Mr. Watson believes that the firm’s streamlined business model and focus on building long-term client relationships puts it on the fast track to becoming one of the top property-consulting firms in Cayman and the Caribbean. “These are exciting and challenging times,” says Watson, adding: “and more than ever, clients need to trust a firm that can deliver professionalism, market insight, integrity and affordability.”
